I agree with you. The major problem of .NET is that it's getting enclosed after the acquisition of Xamarin. And most directions .NET team was promoting in the past 5 years are wrong.

.NET team do need a senior product manager who understand both developer markets and hot business spots.

For example, Blazor is totally a failure. It tried to enter frontend market but it cannot get even 1% of the market at all. Js ecosystem is too huge to compete with by .NET.

Another example is Aspire. I don't believe it can replace Kubernetes as the major container management platform. It's so weird that MSFT create even Aspire dashboard to compete with Kubernetes. It tries to get some market from CNCF foundation as CNCF rejected MSFT projects (such as Yarp) to join.

And Maui is also another failure compared with the popularity of Flutter, Tauri or Electron.

.NET team should rethink about how to make marketing strategy.
